Warning Notice?

Hey, i just saw the warning notice that you put up on some clan pages. I can understand the ones asking for "how to join", but what do you maen by "clan history"? Because if you mean a founding date, then that makesno sense b/c both clan pages i saw had one. But, if you mean a backstory, then dont you think that a backstory really isnt necesarry to a functioning clan? But i dont know what you meant, so, if you could get back to me on this that would be great.

A "How to Join"

Is a chain of links not good enough? I just post a trail of links leading up to registration on my clan wiki page. My wiki page links to the main page of the Requiem clan, which links to the forums, where they apply, then links them to the registration page. It's self-explanatory, and part of the process of weeding out members is avoiding those who can't figure out what the whole trail means. The ones who get the whole thing and follow through to the end are reviewed and accepted. Do I still then have to list exactly what one must do in order to join our clan? It would detract from the fun of having to figure out certain things yourself.

Just wondering, because I don't want to ruin the flow of our wiki page.

That's just more of the minimalist style going into play. I tried defining Requiem like all other clans, but it just didn't stand out enough to me. Besides, a clan is technically defined by their members, their purpose, and their achievements. Our clan page has the required number of members listed, so no worries there. Our purpose is to be the best, and our stance is neutral. That too is defined on the page. Our achievements are also defined, so all the basic stuff is there. I pretty much took a look at what the rules required, did everything needed, and made it look the way I wanted it to look.

As for the recruitment chain, it's outlined in the application forum itself, which is where the link trail ends. We don't have any requirements, instead we judge each member individually. That's stated on the forum as well. I figure the less we share, the more of a certain type of player we attract. What you're asking me to do is to fit the mold by putting more information down, something that I feel is unnecessary and liable to attract more of the crowd that we're going to filter out anyways through our recruitment process, so why waste the energy and increase our troubles?

I'm asking you to please let me slide on this one. We have what we need for the wiki page, and quite frankly, it's been working. We get recruits who are impressed by who we are and what we state, and we get clans approaching us with the impression I want them to get. No one's hurt by our clan page, as it doesn't insult anyone, and it says enough about Requiem to constitute a page unto itself.

Clan updates

We already had clan history at the very top of the page-It's just so new theres not anything to put there. We also had "How to Join" already there classified under "Governing Systems". Also as for "Clan Editor" according to what SysOps have told me no clan has the right to claim any specific words. So in all technicality you guys are taking the freedom of speech away from us because another clan has used those words,yet you let other clans use our words. No intentions of starting a fight, but I'd very much so like an explanation of why you listed 2 things we already had and why you're not allowing us our freedom of speech. I've been told in the past when I declared war on the Shadow Lords of Defiance for stealing Defiance's name that "Any specific use of words is not limited to 1 clan and they have to rights to use those words. Nothing on the wiki belongs to 1 person ANYONE can use these items" and so on. As for "conflicts with another clan" thats how Shadow Lords of Defiance got in their last war before they were disbanded. For stealing the name of Defiance. And none of you SysOps cared in the least so it does seem obvious you're favoring 1 clan over another-Overlords of war Page Editor

P.S. Why is it not allowed to Co-Lead another clan if you own/run one??? In my opinion it doesn't affect other clans or anyone for that matter. Also how does that "Conflict with another clan" if we're not allowed to to begin with???

The Clarification

A friend of mine wanted to poke through some old history for archiving and cataloguing. I hope you don't mind.

There is one other issue I'm concerned with though. If another player were to try and make a new Alleble Knights clan, would they be allowed to? Considering the impact the former clan had on the wiki. The reason I ask is because Jooda threatens to form such a clan. He's already made a Guardians of Doom page on the AE forums that I had to take down because of a fake members list.

Thats not a list of leaders. It's a list of people who have achieved the rank of Overlord-Akiyama25

Overlord of war is not a leader/co-leader ranking. Any person can achieve this rank. The purpose of the Overlord rank is so the clan has a list of people to go to in case of war. Having myself under the "Overlord" ranking means nothing other than Demon Blade54 himself actually told me that I was Overlord ranking after I dominated him in PvP. The title "Secretary of War" also doesn't apply to anything. Thinking of it like Demon and I were, you can imagine it as being like to U.S. Government. The president (Founder) comes in first followed by the Vice President (Co-Founder). Meanwhile the Secretary of War (Me) merely helps plan and direct battles, but not lead the clan. Demon and I went over this and made all of the specifications. I am in no way in control of the clan merely directed by the Founder and Co-Founder. To say I lead Overlords with Demon is like saying that Demonstriker590 (General of the 2nd Legion of Defiance) leads Defiance, yet he has no control. It's the same principle in this case. Simple Misunderstanding

Well, it seems we have come to a simple misunderstanding here. You banned the clan Legion Lords, and said the reason was that you were sick of people leading more than one clan. Well, that's where the misunderstanding comes into play. I was never going to lead that clan, as was stated on their member list which listed Dr Floyd as the clan leader. Dr Floyd is my friend, and he wanted to make a clan. Sadly, he has never created a new page on the wiki, let alone a clan, and i wanted to get him started. All i did was create the page, and add the color scheme, because i wanted to help my friend. Clearly you cannot ban a clan, because its leader needs help?

Now, i will request formally on the clan restoration page for this clan to be restored, and if will solve this problem of misunderstanding in the future, i will cease to edit that clan page.

Thank you for hearing me out, and i hope that we can calmly and professionally sort this out.
