Clan Restoration

Denied. It did not/does not meet basic requirements. You failed to provide:

Images

As images are not property of your clan unless you can show proof of copyright, you cannot remove them from another clan's page. Do not attempt to do so again or else it will be considered vandalism. And while I understand why you'd want to, I suggest trying something more diplomatic first. You'll find it often works if you just politely ask.

Be disgusted all you want. You may have made the image, but it is not copyrighted by either party, and by not being copyrighted under legal standards, it is fair use to all and is property of no single party until a legal copyright claim is established and presented to a SysOp with proof. We know you uploaded the image, but they are allowed to use it until you can prove that you own it.

As for your diplomatic solution, they may not have asked, but that doesn't give you the right to remove it. One wrong does not make a right. You must understand, from a fair point of view, the only way this could end badly is if both sides take hostile stances against eachother. As you have started with hostilities, it should be your job to cease them before anything gets worse. Go to war if you please, but that wont settle anything. Disregard advice, nothing will happen. Complain to us, nothing will change. The solution is something that as per wiki rules, only you can come up with.

As you cannot remove it yourself, complaining to me about how unfair this is wont change a thing, as this wiki has seen plenty of this before. So if you want it taken down, you better start asking them. You may see it as unfair use of your image, and I fully understand why and I know exactly what you're talking about, but by any and all legal standards, this image is not your property and you cannot claim to own it until you present proof of copyright, therefore, this conversation is over.

Oh, and definition of copyright.

"the exclusive right to make copies, license, and otherwise exploit a literary, musical, or artistic work, whether printed, audio, video, etc.: works granted such right by law on or after January 1, 1978, are protected for the lifetime of the author or creator and for a period of 50 years after his or her death."

It is not a simple "I made it, it's mine" philosophy. A copyright is a legal mark stating that you and only you have rights to use your form of media without personally authorizing the use of it, and since you have no legal copyright, it's free use.

• Your solution works. As you uploaded the image, that does give you rights to change it, so... Hah, well done. That's actually quite brilliant... :P
