I got a question, some user(s) is editing and/or deleting everything that i have been editing to annoy me. I need to know why this is happening and who did it. Also, who became the new sysops beside Nafets and Rockinsia? i help the wiki alot!!!!(Ronnoc842)

Deletes and rollbacks

Is there any way to allow us to do mass deletes/rollbacks? I'm wondering due to the recent edits and spam made pages

I don't think you should have put your e-mail on the main page. The spammers will try to spam that e-mail.

Hey again, I'm suggesting that we put the clan pages into templates, like on my page (e.g. Clan:Olympians of Lore/Info). It doesn't show up in the templates category, but it is addable to clan pages to allow everyone to edit the page, but the original clan page be protected. Thanks!

Just saw this, and couldn't resist discussing. Templates is a good idea, but it kinda slows down the process of updating clan information and would take up a lot of space per clan. And once a clan has disbanded due to war or inactivity, the clean-up would be twice as hard. As of the moment, I like how the clan page is. I think that to protect from vandalism, mass deletes like Beta suggested would be better. For instance, after we saw what happened with one guy being able to wipe the clan page, we should be able to just roll back to the last edit before that guy got to work, essentially negating any complicated moves or deletes or anything else they might have done. - Red Blizzard

Suggestion for the Recruiting of SysOps

Why was my page deleted?

Why was my page on World of Warcraft deleted? I was going to make further edits and the page didn't show up. It's not showing up in my contributions either. I think a page on World of Warcraft is appropriate as they ARE AEs largest competitors in the MMO market. At the very least it should be merged with the AQ Worlds page. Wikis

I've noticed that the AQW Wiki is by far, the most edited in all of AE Wikis. For example, the DF Wiki gets about 2 edits a day, while over on this wiki, we have at least 200 edits a day. Just bringing this up to attention.

I think the factions are a part of the game that needs to be on the normal pages not on the guides. I've made up until now al the pages for it, but you can use information , remove it from guides and put it on a suitable place together. Hopes this helpes to improve wiki Skaet1

Al as a concerned wiki user.....i saw what User:Brownwing did, he vandalized the pages Clan:ILLUMINATI, Clan:The S.T.A.R.S, and vandalized even the user page of User:The5thCount, he removed all the contents of the pages stated above, there is no room in the wiki for users like him, he should be banned. Just Wondering..

Hey Al, it's Liz.

I know it's rather ironic, me being a guy surrounded my rumors and lies, constructed by those who oppose me for seeing the truths in arguments, and for not taking sides according to interest, gain, or promise, but according to what I know, and what I observe, giving my honest opinion. I have noticed some more vandalizing recently, and I was wondering if I could be a SysOp, to help put an end to these annoyances. It irks me to see clan wars fall to such low heights as that, and even when there is no conflict, I just hate the random vandalizing of pages. As a victim of vandals myself, I know the disappointment of seeing one's page trashed beyond recognition, hard work spent in vain, only to be wiped clean by the wayward nuisance. If you deny my request, do not feel much of it, I trust your judgment and will not complain over it. You and I have dealt with problems together before, and I know you to have a rational way of thinking. I would understand if you do not trust me for the job. If I may point out, though, I acknowledge that anything and everything I do is recorded in the wiki. I'm not stupid enough to break the rules. Well, see you around, and I hope you reply to my message. Again, accord me the rights or turn me down, I will not hold your decision against you. You're the first SysOp to actually take me seriously, and I appreciate that.

RE: Regarding Banning

Ok, sure. It's just that some people can create multiple accounts and use those accounts to vandalize... Then, when those accounts are infinitely banned, the other accounts of that IP are only banned for a day.. So they can continue the process on many accounts.. I personally think it was all one or two people that have been causing all of this trouble.. Oh, and in other news, the Epic Duel Wiki has gotten 2 more very helpful people in the past 2/3 days! Hey Al, with regards to protection of clan pages, I requested that my clan the Golden Blade Fighters of Lore to be protected, but with that...

1. We don't have 10 members (I removed everyone, half our clan was inactive, we only have five now for minimum clan standards)

2. Quiet a few weeks ago someone redirected our clan, so the link takes you to 'Hehehoho', if you need to see our clan page, I suggest you look at the clans section of the wiki.

Reason why my page is protected.

The reason why I have protected my page is because of a little problem I, Whitetiger, and SirValor had with a spammer last night at 12:00pm. An account was gong around changing your's, SirValor's, and my pages and the only way to stop it was to protect those pages. You may remove my protected page at any time but I wanted you to know the suituation. The user was ArtixAEOfficial. My apologies for any problems this may have caused, but I did undo most of his changes all over Wiki.

Hall of Fame

I recently opened the Hall of Fame, and have assigned some Officials to help me. We are currently running smoothly, and surprisingly enough, we've provided a safe way for players to vent out their "rage" at each other. Vandalism has gone down a lot, which is good, but unfortunately, I seem to still have a list of haters... I don't get it, I removed my clan off the wiki, what could possibly be their motives? Anyway, they probably are just trolls, not other clans. But yeah, so a problem... I will be out of town for the following two weeks, and will be unable to update the page. I would appreciate it if you made a special User Group for Hall of Fame officials (so they alone can mod that page, not randoms). Currently, I'm the only SysOp interested in the project, so yeah, you see my dilemma... I unprotect it, it'll get spammed, I protect it, it'll be locked for two weeks. Anyway, it's really late, sorry for the poor penmanship as I write this. I trust your decision making, please support the future success of the Hall of Fame! :D

Wiki Reset

New way around protecting clans

Dear Al,

I was browsing the newly uploaded images when I found a very perverted one. I instantly went to mark it as (delete) when I found that is was uploaded with the same name as another image, which was being used on a protected clanprotected clan. The uploader then uploaded the same image in a different name but, thankfully, didn't notice that he changed the image on the protected clan. It turns out that while a clan may be protected, users could still change images on pages simply by replacing the image with an image of the same name. This could be a real problem if anyone actually noticed they could do this. Could you please take into note that this is possable and hopefully find a way to block this? My opinion would be to simply portect images themselves so that only the oraginal uploader can upload an image of the same name.

Editing = epic fail

Dear al, I was browsing the classes and i found out that the Pumpkin Lord class and armour was completly blank, it somehow redirected to a page with the word "Gay" into it, i took away the "redirect" part so now it is completly blank. This was just to tell you that it needs editing now.

Clan Achievements Protected

Hey Al,

I was wondering if you would please protect the Clan Hall of Fame Clan Achievements the with the same protection of the Clan Hall of Fame. As a Hall of Fame Official I am in charge of the Achievements but since it is not protected there have been a few instances where un-needed edits have been made. Would you please protect it.

Clan Hall of Fame Achievements

Dear Al, I have been working very hard on the Clan Hall of Fame Achievments page and I am about to release the first competition. I was talking with Lizargeco and we were trying to find a way to better promote the Clan Achievements. Because this is not a clan but it involves all clans we need a way to get more people to see the page and therefor compete for the achievements. As he and I talked one of the options was to ask you if you would be willing to place a notice on the side right bar of the wiki, as you do with the raffles and AQW Game Card? We do have other options but I think that would be the absolute best way to advertise. I do understand if you can not allow that. "If you let one person advertise there then you must let others do so," but I do argue that we are now a function of the wiki and not a clan. If you can not would you please let me know of any better ideas you have?

Ah yes, schoolwork is troublesome in that way. I will remember that the next time its a while before your online. If I could suggest, maybe if you leave a note saying you won't be on for some time people will understand. Also, if you do that then you need not worry or rush because everyone knows. :D. Resignation

I leave this wiki and its poor fate. For it seems, the vandal is now protected from the judgement of an administrator. Ian Fallarco was banned for harrassing NitroRyan. Simple as that. He would not allow his pictures to be used anywhere but on his pages. What do I get for doing my job? I lose my powers and have to apologize. That is pathetic. I see now why the other wiki is more popular. At least they follow their rules. About Time

Dear Al,

I know that the clan protection page is (<.< >.>) hardly ever checked, and the requests are almost never even acknowledged. And i know that most pages really don't need to be protected, that was untill my page was wiped. I realized aside from undoing the edit theres not much stopping the vandals. Now, i know clicking the "undo" button isn't much of a hassle, but even being able to edit a clan page gives the vandal a sense of power. I feel that it is time they were protected. I suggest that all the clan pages 1) be checked for activity, and 2)then be given a notice asking them to post their leaders/editors here. Finally, 3) The pages that respond be protected, giving the clan pages the protection that they should have ahd from the begining. That is what the protection page what mean for, and steps should be taken to apply it to the clan pages, and other pages that require it.

Yes I stopped editing MQwiki mainly because I got bored of Mechquest the game got to repetitive and site for along while was getting spammed so it became useless to many players.

Slight Problem

I was deleting the unused files, to simply clear out the wasted space, on the Special:UnusedFiles page. When I go and click on the (500) I get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16857468 bytes) 
in /home/dfwikic/public_html/aqworldswiki/includes/media/Bitmap.php on line 213

I have no idea about what the problem may be so could you help :D?

Hey, i tried to see what Nafets meant, and i think it means that the page cant handle that many bytes on the page at one time, hence the part of the message saying "Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted". Its not a problem with the list though, because you can still view the files in the rest of the liss by clicking (100) or (next 100)

Hello Al, I don;t think Ive had the unique pleasure of introducing myself to you until now. I am The Mysterious Stranger, or, Merci to my friends. I need your help concerning the wiki. I have a chronic desire to simply annihilate anyone who makes a grammar mistake. But, seeing as that is inappropriate on the wiki, I need your advice. Many a clan have incredibly trashy grammar equal to that of a vegetated four year old. A vegetated four year old rat for some others. I would like to know if it is in my jurisdiction to edit clan pages if it is only to correct the grammar of some of the clans. I would, of course, inform the leader of these clans, letting them know what I am doing and assuring them nothing will be deleted. So, whats your input?

New Look

I concur with Lizargeco

The Vector look is a much better look. I personally have used Vector for about three months, and it is the best layout I have used. I was about to go and change it back to the old default for a little while, but I was surprised to find out that my default is now the wikis :D
