anyone else notice it has the same name and similer looks to the armor imperials wear in oblivion?

Hmmmmmm...

This IS called the Imperial Plate armor, i always figured that they were the elite rank of guards in castle swordhaven, if not, what city do they belong to, possibly an upcoming area or could they just have not been revealed in an area we have not visited yet. also, Thok's armor looks like it would be a higher rank of the Imperial Plate so he could possibly have more functions in the future! What do you guys think?
