Description and History
Sekt, The Eternal is the Pharaoh of the 4th Dimensional Pyramid.
Sekt the Eternal’s Throne of Darkness Saga begins with... An ancient prophecy... The sun consumed by darkness... And an army of creatures preparing to invade our world. This weekend, log in and battle to save Lore from a future twisted beyond all recognition -- if it exists at all!
Before knowing Sekt's story, an opening scene was shown at Battleon where the sun is starting to be engulfed in a somewhat "eclipse". Even Warlic or Syrrus did not forecast an "eclipse" at that moment then all of a sudden, Syrrus knew that it's not just a regular "eclipse". Lim and Cysero are then shown to be confused about the situation going on; The Black Hole Sun watchers led by Anubyx never thought "it" would never happen on THEIR watch and so he summoned the Hero to come over. As the Hero came to the place, Anubyx has long dreaded that moment but the sands of time shift in the winds, and they must move with them, the Hero was also skeptical about the eclipse being seen all over the world as it does not work that way and Anubyx told him that it's not an eclipse but a Black Hole Sun - and if they are to prevent the prophecy from coming true, the Hero is going to need to stop the foretold invasion before it begins.
As mentioned by Anubyx, this prophecy is old..., so, old and every generation of temple priests learn of it. Sometimes he even wonders whether this prophecy they know of is still the TRUE prophecy as parchments get lost, ink smeared, and whispers distort words. But no matter what, this ONE thing has always remained constant. This one thing he knows to be true - that ONLY the Hero can enter the 4th Dimensional Pyramid! When the Hero asked why only he/she can enter it, Anubyx replied that ever since the Black Hole Sun appeared... even before the "eclipse" was complete, they ALL felt its pull and that in the dunes, it's even worse. the closer he moves towards it, the more... bent... he feels. As if he's an iron being pulled towards a giant magnet. But the Hero told him that he/she doesn't feel the same way and so, because of it, Anubyx knows that the Hero's not affected by it and he has no idea why.
Anubyx is determined to see the Hero enter the 4th Dimensional Pyramid, survive its dangers, fulfill the prophecy, and come out alive. There's only one thing he can think of to help the hero -- the Infinity Shield -- a condensed anti-quasar that will keep the hero safe as the Hero fight to survive Sekt's dungeon!
The Infinity Shield is an incredible device - part magic, part science, part other. It shields its wearer from the effects of space and time, creating a… null field… around them. To use it, before the Hero enters the Pyramid, the Hero must place it outside the entrance. It will prevent any of the Black Hole Sun's creatures from attacking the while inside.
In continuation, the Hero managed to get inside the 4th Dimensional Pyramid whereas Sekt in the present time tells his story to others. His story started out and ended in a different way in which the first scene was a boss fight instead of it being the last thing to accomplish. As per predicted in the Prophecy of the Black Hole Sun:
- After the Hero has defeated the Pharaoh of the Black Hole Sun, and retrieved from his staff the Eye of the Old Gods, only then will the Pyramid fall.
- When the Hero has defeated the Hounds of Negastri and pulled the first lever, the Tesseract will turn in the sky.
- Through the Energy of the Tesseract, and the Sarcophagus of Anubyx, the Hero will survive to fight again.
- The Hero will walk across the Energy of the Tesseract to pull the fourth lever and once more rotate the Tesseract in the heavens.
- Only after all this has been done will the Hero once more confront the Pharaoh of the Black Hole Sun.
Sekt told everyone that his 4th Dimensional Pyramid isn't just an ordinary pyramid but a Tesseract that feeds on the Sun. When it's done feeding, all of the people in Lore will be dead. Xeight then told everyone that 4th Dimension's just TIME and so once again sekt introduced himself as the Pharaoh of the Black Hole Sun and the Lord of the 4th Dimensional Pyramid. And to fulfill the prophecy, the Hero MUST DIE. His story then began as the Hero had just emerged from the sarcophagus... completely unaware of where he is... and the horrible fate awaiting him/her! The next scene showed how the Hero defeated sekt and stole the crystal from his staff and made a run for it. This crystal was very important to him because it is known as the Eye of the Old Gods which allowed him to control the pyramid. He then continued his story where he said that the Hero still don't know where he/she is so the Hero started exploring until finding the one person he/she NEVER expected to get quests from, his/her FUTURE SELF! And so, the Hero met up his/her FUTURE SELF and this "person" told the Hero that they're trapped in Sekt's pyramid and for them to get out, they must pull the lever scattered around the pyramid to change the structure of the pyramid. After pulling all the levers, the hero once again encountered his/her FUTURE SELF the second time and told him that the sarcophagus "they" came out from brings anything you put in it back to life. The next time the hero encounters his/herself, things got creepy: the Hero saw his/her FUTURE SELF calling for help as there are voices/shadows screaming from the Darkness inside his/her head which won't stop as if he/she was sick, crazy and dying. The final time the Hero encounters his/her FUTURE SELF, he/she saw not just a corpse but plenty of corpses.
To sum up everything and to help Ziri understand the truth about Sekt's story, the Mysterious Figure told everything from the start: the Hero woke up in a sarcophagus. Then stole the Eye of the Old Gods from Sekt. Then, he/she ran into a version of himself/herself from the future, who gave him/her a quest to pull levers. Next, he /she runs into another version of himself/herself who... saw a version of himself/herself that was sick and dying.. and a version that was dead. And it appears that the Hero has done this many times before. Then he went back to the throne room to re-fight Sekt. But Sekt also added that this whole time, his 4th Dimensional Pyramid has been eating THE Sun and yet there IS one way to stop it... to let him kill the Hero! The Hero knew this though and since this Pyramid converts Suns into Black holes, he/she is going to reverse it using the Eye of the Old Gods but Sekt told him that the Hero only has ONE crystal and that crystal is like a currency for the Pyramid. The Prophecy requires ONE MILLION of them to undo a Black Hole Sun!
The Hero, however, pulled the final leverage which would then unleash the Black Plague that will engulf him/her in darkness, a horrible death of pain and madness. But the Hero was willing to suffer and sacrifice his life one million times and so, the Hero succeeded in destabilizing the 4th Dimensional Pyramid but the Black Plague has been released. The Hero became weak and started going mad as the Hero was inflicted with the Black Plague so the Hero sat down and so the Hero decided to get in the sarcophagus to recover. The Hero remembered though that he/she broke the endless loop... and he/she's the last one which means if the Hero don't make it int he sarcophagus on his/her own, there is no one to out him/her in. The Hero is too close yet so far to the sarcophagus and ends up dying. Sekt explained that after reviving in the sarcophagus 1 Million times, the Hero broke the loop but the Hero was the last one so there was no more of the Hero coming to put him/her in the Sarcophagus. But Sekt continued that to fulfill the PROPHECY, *HE* must kill the Hero and in this story, he never killed the Hero...
The final scene showed Sekt, being engulfed in darkness as it was stated that anyone who touches the Black Plague becomes engulfed by the darkness. In short, Sekt saved the Hero by putting his corpse in the sarcophagus in order to fulfill the PROPHECY whereas *HE* must kill the Hero by himself. Again, the Hero was shown waking up in the sarcophagus.
