Don't think for a second you can just hack and slash your way through the cave alls to mine a Jewel. This is the Void we're dealing with, and *normal* weapons won't work in this realm. What you need to do is find an Ahzite Pick. One of those cave monsters should have one… Only when you find this rare item will you be able to mine a Paragon Jewel.
