Description
A warlord powerful enough to conquer entire universes.
And as Maya said, "Vaxen is an amalgam of the worst villains our world has ever seen...in EACH of the timelines that exist! He is made up of beings the Hero may not have even heard in this universe, and he has all the powers to back him up! At least, that's the information I could gather from the Dark Loremaster..." He was only created by the Shadow Council for the purpose of helping them dominate the stars using his power to make every universe bow to their feet. To do so, they shall infiltrate the Loremasters because they are weak but their influence will allow them to get what they need. They have to persuade a wayward hero from each timeline foolish enough to listen and help retrieve the items for them. But, it wasn't what the Council expected to see after the ritual, their creation, Vaxen who was meant to be their servant wiped them all out.
After the explosion, a "mysterious being" who praised him for what he did to the council, told him that he's still not in his full power and that if he wants to get its maximum use, he needs to get to a "quaint little world" known as Lore and find the place known as Ravenbreak Ridge, together with his army to find what he seeks. He then proceeds to attack Lore using the Shadow Dragongate;
As quoted by Maya, "Warlic discovered that the Dragongate wasn't the only one of its kind - there is a VAST network of similar portals scattered across the universe! As to why they were built and who built them, we still aren't sure - but more research could yield some very interesting information on space-time travel!"
A war then began in Ravenbreak Ridge. Vaxen's army invades Ravenbreak. As the Hero battles Vaxen's army, he sends out his strongest clone to confront the Hero at the end of the war fully assured that his clone won't be defeated. While the Hero continues to battle Vaxen's clone, he is then seen looking at a portal stating that his interest lies on somewhere. All of a sudden, it wasn't what he expected, the Hero managed to defeat the clone knowing that it's not the real one despite stating that Vaxen has Lord Valoth's strength, Caden's intellect, Carnax's limitless power and is fueled by Vordred and Sepulchure's endless hatred. Sensing his clone's destruction, the portal gets out of control and he was dragged into somewhere unknown. Though the locals of Ravenbreak Ridge praise the Hero for his/her victory, the Hero tells the locals that Vaxen is still out there and will return with a bigger army. Vaxen is then shown floating somewhere recuperating and vows to regain his strength enough to return to Lore and to destroy whoever used him to test Lore. It is then shown that the Shadow Council had been manipulated by the Queen of Monsters and her minion Faust (NPC) in order to claim their research.
History
It is Artix Entertainment's 13th Birthday and Mysterious Loremasters have appeared in each of the main games, warning us of an ominous - but as yet unknown - danger! These 'mysterious" loremasters asked for the Heroes' help in each game to recover the items they seek, namely:

- Vordred's Skull in AdventureQuest Worlds...
- Sepulchure's Helm in DragonFable...
After gathering the artifacts from the greatest villains across the multiverse, the Heroes will finally discover the source of this danger each Dark Loremaster warned them about but it was later revealed to be a trick of the Shadow Council, an organization composed of darkness beings from other dimension that possessed the remaining Loremasters in Lore, to use the parts to create a new villain - Vaxen.
